ABOUT

Kenna Beban is a Brooklyn-based photographer and journalist. Originally from the Bay Area, CA, she studied Journalism and Environmental Studies at NYU, and received a grant from the Dean's Undergraduate Research Fund in 2021 to pursue her honors thesis, Uprooting the Family Tree. Her photos and writing on New York City subculture have been published in Brooklyn Magazine, Punch Drink, and BK Reader.

She graduated from the Documentary Practices and Visual Journalism program at International Center of Photography in 2025. There, her work focused on ritual and responsibility among Catholic youth in Queens, and the effects of changing immigration policies on refugee resettlement programs in Ohio.
